How Do StrideTek Flipthotics Help Relieve Foot Pain?

Below, we look at how these sandals actually work at reducing foot pain…

1. Flipthotics Have Metatarsal Support for Your Feet

First of all, this sporty flip flop has built-in metatarsal support. This riser pad helps minimize foot pain by supporting the mid-foot.

To explain further, the metatarsal bones join the toes to the ankles. Often, pain can result from wearing ill-fitting shoes, arthritis or high impact sports, causing metatarsalgia.

Therefore, a metatarsal riser encourages reduces pressure in this area and promotes proper biomechanics. In turn, this design feature can help lesson pain in the ball of the foot.

2. These Flip Flips Help Properly Align Your Feet

Second, Flipthotics provide great arch support for your feet. For example, it has an EVA arch support to keep your foot properly aligned.

In other words, it prevents your foot from rotating inward, or pronation. Most standard flip flops (or sandals for that matter) don’t provide this structure, but rather a flat footbed.

Third, StrideTek designed these sandals with a heel cup to prevent foot pain. These deep heel cups prevent unwanted lateral movement. Hence, it reinforces the supportive effects of the arch support and metatarsal riser.

My Thoughts on the StrideTek Flipthotic Sandals:

These supportive athletic-style thongs can promote healthier feet, plus they feel comfortable too. In addition, their high-quality construction makes them last longer than cheap flip flops which can save you money in the long run.

You don’t have to experience foot pain to wear these slip-ons. In fact, if you have high arches, you will probably find them more comfortable. Personally, once I started wearing flip flip sandals that had arch support, I never went back to regular flat thongs. =)

Fabric Sport Sandals for Plantar Fasciitis

StrideTek is not the only company making foot-supporting flip flops. For instance, Therafit makes a Slingback Sandal that comes with a backstrap.

It has a similar footbed design, but it allows you to adjust the firmness of the heel. However, this sandal is only available for women.

Another great orthopedic sandal for heel spurs, plantar fasciitis and metatarsalgia is the Telic Sandal. Athletes also wear them for recovery and arch support.
